Hi, I'm Kaitlyn!

As a proud member of the Producers Guild of America, Women in Animation and Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), I've had the opportunity to work on content across multiple platforms including digital, television and motion picture, which has given me the opportunity to diversify my experiences.

Each team I've been on has told me that I'm the lynchpin to their success as my strengths not only lie in detail, organization and efficiency, but also in inclusivity and out-of-the-box methodology when approaching new creatives. As a result, I'm a two-time recipient of both Discovery Inc.'s One Team Stellar Merit Award and Discovery Inc.'s Doer Stellar Merit Award.

After obtaining my BA in Film/Animation with minors in Entertainment Management and Studio Arts, I began my professional journey within production management, where I perfected balancing both my logical and creative sides, as we all know that being effective with time and practical with budgets is crucial to any production’s foundation.

From there, I discovered the heartbeat of production and fell head over heels - it’s something I love about this industry; you can’t be successful without the help of another - it truly is a team effort! Let's go filmmakers, let's go!

I’m a firm believer that everyone needs a happy place and my greatest passion is creating one for them.

When I was growing up, I sought comfort in my imagination. I’d see the world around me change before my eyes and would get lost in the alternate realities I would dream up. I resonated with characters in the stories I read, watched and drew; I loved how I was brought into their worlds, but wondered how I could bring them into mine?

It wasn’t until I saw the movie trailer to my favorite book that I realized there was a way I could transport these characters, my friends, to my reality – I’d make their worlds come alive.

Open the roof, cue the lightning! Well...not really, but I did propel myself (potentially tumbling at times) down that path as I was determined to evoke the same emotions in others that this did in me. Like many, I needed an outlet to discover myself, lead me through life and carry me through the hard times. Everyone has their ups and downs, but it’s when you connect with others just like you that you appreciate how crucial that bond is. Everyone needs an escape from the everyday and it’s something I hold close to my heart.

When I saw that trailer, with book in hand, I promised my 11-year-old self that no matter what, I would be apart of that life. Flash forward to today and I am proud to say I am keeping that promise: a journey of unique and exciting twists and turns you can explore in my career map.

Through these experiences, I found that I’m driven to create escapes for everyone. If I’m not resonating with audiences who seek comfort in what I do, then I’m not me. I strive to make the world a more interesting and unified place; whether that’s through lifestyle content, animation, comedies, dramas or the like, video is my platform - it’s my lens, it’s my voice and if I do it right, it’s others’ too.
